Kids, cats and cows

Gabe clearly enjoys cats much more than cows and likes cows better from a distance. Creedyn and Xavier were excited about their first trip to the barn.

Vacation June 2008 4 generations

While up at the farm, we wanted to make sure we got a 4 generation photo. The Nelson Family Farm sign seemded to be just the place to do it. Here we have Great Grandpa Lester, Jay with Creedyn, Brian with Xavier, and John with Gabe.
Then we have Brian's family and Jay's family with Grandpa and Great Grandpa and finally each family with Great Grandpa. It was a very special day.

Vacation June 2008 Great Grandma Nelson

On the last day of our vacation, the two youngest got to spend some time with Great Grandma Nelson. The first pic is her holding Xavier. Gabe was a little shy, so he sat on Grandma Lynn's lap while Xavier sat on Great Gradma's lap. Jay is holding Creedyn in pic 3. I loved her smile in pic 4. In the last 2 pics she is holding Creedyn.

Vacation June 2008 Last day at the lake

We found a wagon that the kids enjoyed on the last day. Gaabe and Xavier got the first ride. Creedyn joined in when we went down for a last night campfire. Brian was in charge of the fire and the boys were supervising or taking lessons, I'm not sure which!

Vacation June 2008 Creedyn & Jay

Creedyn enjoyed some tummy time and playing in the swing. Jay caught a wide variety of fish including the dogfish and bass shown here. I think he had the best luck of any of us.

Vacation June 2008 Mall of America

After we left the zoo, we headed to the Mall of America. Gabe, Xavier, and Grandma Lynn enjoyed a short nap while Brian and Brittany enjoyed some child free window shopping. Legoland was the favorite stop for all of us. The aquarium was also fun.

Vacation June 2008 Minnesota Zoo

On Tuesday, Brian and family and Grandma Lynn made a trek to the Minnesota Zoological Garden. Gabe enjoyed seeing the groundhogs. I think his favorite part was playing in the gravel by the swings! Daddy holds him up to view the fish. The entire family enjoyed the day, with Xavier catching a nap in the stroller. Gabe liked to reach down to touch the manta rays.

Vacation June 2008 #2 Visitors, sunrise, & sunset

We were able to enjoy the sunset from White Rock Resort.
Sherri Nelson came down with Art and Lester and Verna on Sunday to share supper with us. I only have pics of Sherri with the grandbabes. She is feeding Creedyn in the first pic and holding Xavier in the second. Greg and Virginia Hustad came down to enjoy some fishing on Monday. We didn't have any luck with the fishing, but added another memory by having to be towed back to shore when the pontoon died!
The sunrises were viewed best on our side of the lake. The picture is looking toward the White Rock Resort.

Vacation June 2008

This year we all went on a 1 week vacation to Chetek, WI. Xavier, Gabe, and Grandma Lynn spent many, many hours in the back seat of my Explorer. The grandbabes loved riding on the pontoon. Don't they look cute in their bright yellow PVD's? Jay is holding Creedyn and then Gabe, Brittany is holding Xavier, and Grandpa John is holding Gabe.
